Hi! I'm Emily, a London based portrait, events and small business photographer with a real passion for capturing the little details which help to make you and your brand stand out from the crowd.
I approach all my photography projects with enthusiasm and creativity, and like to meet up with all my clients for a nice cup of tea (where possible!) to chat about your requirements.
You can read some of the nice things my clients have said about working with me here.
If you'd like to discuss a project then drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
What sort of photography training and experience have you had?
Lots! I started freelancing part time in 2009 whilst working in a corporate job and in 2013 decided to go back to uni to study photography. I have an HND (Distinction) and BA Honours (First Class) Degree in Photography.
I’ve worked with all sort of companies and individuals, from small businesses to large corporate companies, fashion models to families. I also work as a photographer and writer for the official MCM Comic Con magazine called MyM Magazine (which you can grab in WHSmiths every month if you’re intrigued!) I also edit an online magazine called Love Japan which I launched in 2015 as an outlet for my passion for Japanese culture.
Having worked as a picture editor retouching celebrity portraits for magazines, producing natural looking edits is a real passion of mine. I like to make you look the best version of yourself rather than like a plastic mannequin.
What sort of photography work do you do?
I love working with people, and shoot a wide range of different photography work such as portraits, fashion shoots, work for small businesses, website photography and events. Event wise I’ve shot everything from weddings and christenings to pop culture conventions and business conferences. Check out my blog for some of my most recent projects.
What are your prices?
I'm in the process of updating my price list so please drop me an email for a tailored quote.
What sort of equipment do you use?
I shoot on a Nikon full frame camera and a mixture of prime and zoom lenses. I also use flash, a reflector and a few other technical bits and bobs.
What sort of style do you shoot in?
I’m a pretty relaxed person and I like to let my photography flow naturally. We’ll have a good chat before any shoot about any concerns you might have, such as feeling shy in front of the lens. You can read some of the nice things clients have said about working with me here.
Where are you based, and do you travel?
I live in Greenwich but I’m more than happy to travel anywhere in the UK and beyond. If you’re based outside of London then get in touch so I can provide a quote which will include travel and expenses.
Do you use an assistant?
From time to time, if it’s a large wedding then I’ll bring an assistant (at no extra cost to you)
How many images will I get?
It all depends on the length and style of the shoot. For a portrait or fashion shoot I’ll ask you to select your favourite 20 or so images and these will be edited in fine detail. For a full wedding you’ll probably receive around 300-400 images. For an event, I’ll capture a range of wide angle, close-up, detail and people shots and a mix of candid and posed images.
How long will it take to get my photos?
All shoots are fully edited within 3 weeks (usually a lot sooner in quiet periods). If you need the photos by a specific deadline, just let me know.
How will you send me my photos?
All your photos will be viewable in the client area of my website. This is password protected and you’re welcome to give the password to friends and family so they can view the images. Portrait, fashion, events and business shoot images are sent over via file transfer and for weddings I’ll also send you a USB stick with all your images on.
Do you take a deposit?
For weddings from March to October I take a 10% deposit on booking (which is non refundable but transferable to another date). The balance for all shoots is due 1 week after you receive your images. You’ll receive an invoice which you can pay either via bank transfer or PayPal - whichever is easiest for you.
Do you have insurance?
Yes I have full public liability and professional indemnity insurance plus all my photography equipment is insured. I always bring a back up camera / lenses and shoot onto 2 memory cards as a precaution.
Can I share your images on social media?
Will you share my images on social media?
It’s in my Terms and Conditions that I can share your images on social media, but if you don’t want me to, that’s also fine. Just let me know.
So I like your photos… what next?!
You can drop me an email at email@example.com. I’d love to meet up with you for a chat, but if it’s not possible we can talk over email / phone / Skype etc.
