Shinkurose: Fashion Shoot
I had the pleasure of working with Shinkurose this month; a small business who design and handmake all their own clothing. With Japanese street fashion and gothic influences, the clothing is stunning. We chose Sandbanks in Dorset as a location, partly because it's near their hometown and I was down on a flying visit to see family. On the day there was a freak high tide which meant a lot of the beach was covered with sea, but we managed to find a quiet spot to shoot. Aside from a few curious dog walkers we were left to our own devices, which was lovely!
I really enjoy shooting on location as you never really know until the day what the weather is going to be like. I always have a backup plan for bad weather, but luckily we had some pretty dramatic clouds and a changing sky which added lots of of atmosphere and variety to the images. Strong winds were a challenge and meant a lot of post processing tidying up windswept hair but I'm so happy with the results.
The images are going to be featured in a future issue of MyM Magazine along with an interview which I can't wait to share with you when it's published! Thanks to Shinkurose and model Maddy for a great shoot.
