Vauxhall City Farm
In 2016 I worked with a group of students at the University of East London to increase awareness for a local community organisation in need. We opted for Newham City Farm (which had been threatened with closure) and managed to run a successful photography exhibition there which attracted attention from local MPs and local press (we even got a feature in the Newham Recorder!)
Following the success of that project, I was keen to work with another city farm. I joined forces with another photographer to document Vauxhall City Farm at Lambeth County Show and take photos at the farm itself.
Working with local communities brings me great joy as I love working with people and feel that photography is often overlooked by small businesses, but can bring so many benefits. Especially in a world where a quality website and social media is a huge marketing tool!
